Where did all the ActiveKEYs go?
They must have married all the Supra Lock boxes 
and relocated somewhere North of South Florida!That is the only reasonable explanation for their disappearance since the alternative is too scary for me to think about!
More and more combination lock boxes
are showing up on homes for sale and I cannot help but wonder if that is because Realtors are not paying the annual fee required to maintain the electronic ActiveKEY.Combination lock boxes are old fashion, unsafe and not professional!
I work the Miami, Fort Lauderdale areas and it is old news that Miami-Dade Realtors refuse to use the Supra technology and that a home for sale in Miami with a Supra lock box on it will see no showings.
What is news to me is in the past couple of months I have seen Supra lock boxes disappear in my farm areas (Cooper City, Davie, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Sunrise, Miramar, SouthWest Ranches) and get replaced with combination lock boxes. It sadness me to know that replacing the Supra is the only way that the listing Realtor is able to bring showings to the home.
These are the tools of a Realtor's job, they are as important as knowing how to properly list a home, have a car, answer the phone and return calls. Can you imagine going to a dentist appointment and being told to relax and sit on the floor because to save money, the dentist is no longer using dentist chairs. Outrageous.
That is how I feel- Outraged that sellers do not know how short changed they are being by their Realtor and so sorry for buyers who are missing out on great homes, because the Realtor they chose do not have an ActiveKEY, and is unable to show certain homes. Of course... the customer suffers not knowing about this, being completely unaware of the homes he/she is missing out on.
Realtors that chose not to have the tools necessary to work in this industry should not be allowed to work in this industry. They are a disservice to their customers and a disgrace to their peers.
If you are a Realtor who does not have an ActiveKEY, call you BOARD and get one.
If you are a buyer/seller working with a Realtor who does not have an ActiveKEY and a Supra lock box, demand that they get one- that is the minimum they can do to earn your business (besides answering the phone on the weekends, when other Realtors are calling to set up showings for you home).
